It’s been difficult getting anyone to differentiate these two products, so this is what I know so far. If you have any information that can correct me, please do…
They’re basically the same product except the DIGITS can be considered the NVIDIA THOR AGX DEVELOPER KIT. This means the DIGITS is a THOR with a carrier board and all the hardware in one case. This might mean there will be no product called the THOR AGX DEVELOPER KIT, like there has been with the other Jetsons.
I wish there were was official documentation comparing these two, but this post might be the best you get until someone at NVIDIA actually posts something comparing the two.
This is definitely incorrect. The DGX Spark is a consumer product, not a development device or system component. It lacks hardware features common to Jetson like GPIO and the separation of the compute module from a carrier board. The DGX Spark is a desktop PC, not a board you can integrate into a product, like Jetson. It does not even run the same distribution of Linux that Jetsons do. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the SoC in DGX Spark is NOT a Thor. It is a Mediatek SoC developed with Nvidia, whereas Thor is an Nvidia SoC. The GB10 uses a different version of the ARM Neoverse architecture than Thor.
I think you’re confused. I’m comparing the NVIDIA DIGITS to the NVIDIA THOR. The Spark was never mentioned. I don’t think the DIGITS and SPARK are the same thing.
Definitely not confused. :) The Project DIGITS computer was renamed to DGX Spark to align with the product lineup. Thor and GB10 are completely different SoCs.
