NVIDIA K5000 and Samsung UA55F9000AR No better than 1920x1080

Hi,

Bit of a longshot, i have a nvidia k5000 connected to a Samsung one connect box which in turn is connected to the Samsung UA55F9000AR. I am no expert in xorg.conf’s by any means and have been hacking following google and here and around and managed to get the Machine to output 3840x2160 and nvidia-settings confirms this but i get no output on the screen, am i doing something wrong or using wrong cables, etc. Currently it is using a hdmi converted to display port.

i can get an output at 1920x1080 but i would like better.

Below is my xorg.conf

nvidia-bin-310.32 is the driver i am using.

I answered your PM but I didn’t realize you were using the DP adapter.

You will probably need to use this active adapter and you will be limited to 30 Hz until the dp 1.2 → HDMI 2.0 adapters come out (sometime in the next few months) or buy a gtx 970 or 980 like I mentioned before for 60Hz.

http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B086B-008B-2-UltraAV-DisplayPort-Adapter/dp/B00DOZHL82
(chose DisplayPort version instead of mini displayport)

I would expect you to have no issues with 30Hz 4k with that adapter right out of the box with any drivers.

Hi, thanks for the pm answer, i have kinda got it working :)

Updated the Drivers to

Installing NVIDIA driver version 346.35.

I now get this when i look at xorg.

So pixel clock is greater now than the 165 i had Earlier.

The screen is outputting now at 3840x2160 at 30hz
is there any way to improve the refresh rate?

my xorg looks like this , notice the modeline is hashed out at present :)
