I have the same Issue with an other legacy graphics card. Tesla K80 detected on OpenSuse 15.5, but nvidia-smi couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver . I was not able to get mine working yet, but I know you definitively did not share another data to debug your problem. What stops you from uploading the debug file here? For me it was just drag and drop.
