NVRtx Questions

Hey everyone! This is probably silly to ask, but I’m currently planning out my project and noticed NVIDIA has a custom branch of UE called NvRTX (5.3, hopefully 5.4 comes soon!).

Am i right in guessing the main usage of it is integrating NVIDIA specific features like RTX…? The GitHub also mentions optimisation, is this branch more performant or something?

This is probably also a silly question, but how is the interoperability of the branch? Say i target consoles or Mac in the future, not sure if this branch is intended to be specifically for targeting windows PCs.
