First let me say it is very cool that there is now a good deal of information to be gleaned from the on-demand videos.
However the options on playback speed don’t work very well.
(.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0)
The .5 is much too slow to understand and sounds annoying.
The 2.0 is much too fast and again is annoying. Not sure who is able to listen to 4.0.
It would be great to add .75, 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 to the dropdown box.
I find when watching a video that presents information that I know little about I need to run at about .75 to absorb the content.
When watching a video for a second or third time I am usually multitasking and just need a brush-up.
1.5 or 1.75 work great for this.
Hi! This is excellent feedback and I totally agree with you on the benefits of more granular speed options. I’m relaying this to our video platform team and hopefully, we can get those extra speeds added. In the meantime, we post all the on-demand videos on YouTube so you can always find the same video there and use the playback speeds they offer. NVIDIA Omniverse - YouTube
I agree, putting the playback speed in the video overlay would make things much faster. Hopefully, they’ll update it soon! As for previous versions, I’d suggest contacting support. Glad you’ve enjoyed the app otherwise!
This issue was noted over 1.5 years ago. It was on https://resources.nvidia.com not youtube. The issue seems to have been resolved if you want to close the thread. Thanks
