OpenGL in the cloud

Hi,

Has anyone tried or heard of Real Time 2d/3d graphics rendering in the cloud… for example, Amazon Cloud.

I’m trying to test some basic opengl rendering in the cloud to see if it is feasible to do cloud real time rendering… of course, we have the latency problem…

Thanks

Last I checked the only OpenGL support was through MESA and software rendering, so not very helpfull.

And according to nvidia reps at previous Siggraphs they have solutions for cloud-providers willing to implement them, but so far the providers haven’t been interested. Really looking forwards to when there is support, since then we can use our http://www.tinia.org/ Tinia Cloud Rendering framework there as well as on private servers…

Hopefully the Nvidia GRID card demonstration at CES will fuel more interest in this, and thus get cloud providers to add support…
