We are excited to announce that Nsight Compute and cuda-gdb now have support for debugging and profiling OptiX applications! These tools will work for both OptiX 6 and OptiX 7 projects.
The following tools now support OptiX programs:
- Nsight Visual Studio Edition’s Next-Gen CUDA Debugger
- Nsight Visual Studio Edition’s Nsight Compute Profiler
- Nsight Compute Profiler
- cuda-gdb debugger
The latest version of Nsight Compute with OptiX support is available as part of the CUDA Toolkit, or directly here: https://developer.nvidia.com/nsight-compute
cuda-gdb is part of the latest CUDA Toolkit: https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gdb
Using these tools with OptiX requires a 435 driver or newer. Official Drivers | NVIDIA
We will soon be posting a video demonstration of profiling an OptiX application, so stay tuned.
