Hi,

could you recommend me some methodology, how to transfer fortran77 code and mainly corresponding binary data files (read by direct access) from HP-UX c80 B.11.11 U 9000/785 platform to the Linux86_64 (Intel/AMD platform with PGI Workastation 10.3 compiler.

My main problem is the reading (via direct access) of the binary data files which were cre ated on HP-UX.

Hi Michal,

Compile your Linux code with “-Mbyteswapio”. This tells the compiler to convert big-endian to little-endian when reading and writing unformatted data.
