Post-installation problems CUDA 10.0

I followed everything as instructed on
but I am unable to complete post-installation actions. Note I have followed package manager installation. The following are the results for my PC

I can’t find the folder of CUDA, i.e, there is no such directory as ~/NVIDIA_CUDA-10.0_Samples
so I can’t run deviceQuery. Sorry for the long question, but I am new to Linux. Its been 5 days and I am unable to intall CUDA properly. Help please.

You followed everything as instructed? Because Linux Mint isn’t a supported OS.

Which part of the instructions were you following that indicated that Linux Mint is OK?

According to table 1, Ubuntu 18.04 GCC 7.3.0 Kernel Module 4.15.0 is supported, right? Also, I saw a video (CUDA 9.0 installation in Ubuntu 16.4 + / Linux Mint - Full instruction with verification - YouTube) yesterday which explains the steps in more detail and found the solution to my problem.
