Apologies! I left out part of the answer from our support team: You would use the information for WinOF 4.40 support Windows 2012 Server (AKA Windows 8) on ConnectX-2.

Sorry, what am I missing here? I see references on the web site and in the release notes (e.g., 4.40 …) to:

  • Windows Server 2012
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows 7
  • Windows XP

Nothing for Windows 8. Any pointers would be appreciated. TIA.

This is an urgency for me. We are designing and prototyping a system in which we would like to use Windows 8. We can’t afford the delay of making bad board choices and would like to be confident that we would have driver support.

Thanks for your reply. Windows 2012 Server is AKA “Windows 8 Server” (i.e., not “Windows 8”). Can you please confirm that I can use MLNX WinOF VPI v4.40 (for x64) and the same firmware baseline for “Windows 8”. TIA.
