Request for NVIDIA NIM API Rate Limit Increase (40 → 200 RPM) – AI Coding in VS Code + OpenCode

Hello NVIDIA Support Team,

I am writing to request a rate limit increase for my NVIDIA NIM API account.

  • Current Limit: 40 RPM
  • Requested Limit: 200 RPM (or the next available higher tier for individual developer use)

Account email: jocker1515@gmail.com

I am an independent AI Developer working on several production projects through the OpenCode extension inside Visual Studio Code.

Projects include:

  • fatekai.com platform
  • Telegram bots (@karty_ai_bot, @my_personalhealth_bot and others)
  • High-frequency trading (HFT) crypto trading bot

My workflow is heavy agentic coding: full repository navigation, multi-file editing, code auditing, refactoring and implementing new features in real production codebases.

I am currently using models such as MiniMax-M2.5, Kimi K2.5, Llama-3.3-Nemotron-Super-49b, Mistral-Large-3-675B and GLM5.

The default 40 RPM limit frequently triggers “429 Too Many Requests” errors even with exponential backoff and model routing. This significantly slows down development flow.

I have completed my developer profile (Industry: Cloud Services / Financial Services, Job Role: AI Developer, Organization: Fatekai).

This is for legitimate development work on active projects, not for production serving.

Thank you in advance. Happy to provide more details if needed.

Best regards,
Maks Vladimirov

Hi there,

Thanks for the detailed request.

I can elevate this internally to the team, as many others have had similar requests, but we cannot approve rate-limit increases directly from the forum.

I know that’s not the answer you are looking for, but I will do my best to get yours and others requests from the forums heard within the decision-making process.

Thanks,

Aharpster
