Several essential KDE applications (sddm, krunner, plasmashell) segfault on startup with 361.16

Which distro are you on, if its gentoo the package is qtgui-5..

arch

qt5-base patched and working! ;_;

finally!

But is it driver fault or qt fault :P ?

Nvidia. But patch qt is more faster

It’s actually both. Qt should not pass a null pointer, and Nvidia should check for it in case it happens.

What pkg did you use to get it working?

Tried so far building qt5-base-git from aur but getting: qt5-base-git/pkg/qt5-base-git/usr/bin/uic’ is not a directory

EDIT: new revision of qt5 with the fix is pushed to repos

The qt5 patch makes error for nouveau users :(

They have opened a bugreport for reverting the pach :(

Does the newly released 361.18 contain a fix for this issue ?

Seems like it, works for me on Fedora!

It works for me too now on openSUSE Tumbleweed!
:-D

Sorry to bump, however, I can’t update my driver from 352.63 to 361.28 due to the same problem. I use Kubuntu 15.10, so, how can I apply a fix? I also have another problem that sometimes plasmashell or konsole consumes one core of cpu after closing and I heard that it is possible to fix this issue if I update my driver to 361.18 or higher, which I fail to do so. Any suggestions? (The link for that problem is here: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/879586/kf5-konsole-15-04-and-15-08-consumes-100-cpu-on-close-only-with-proprietary-nvidia-driver/?offset=3 )
