Texture Cache Refilling policy


Just a quick question: What is the refilling policy of the texture caches (because of which we have much faster access to DRAM)?

It is undocumented. Even this very detailed paper: http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~myrto/gpuarch-ispass2010.pdf doesn’t try to determine it. It does do a detailed analysis of the other parameters of the cache, though.
