TimeDate Clock Resets

Hi when i powered on my AGX Orin i got a pop up - “The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920x1200@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per monitor specification.”
Then when i connected it via minicom and checked the time and date i got the following:
Local time: Wed 2023-03-15 20:47:32 IST
Universal time: Wed 2023-03-15 15:17:32 UTC
RTC time: Thu 1970-01-01 00:13:50
Time zone: Asia/Kolkata (IST, +0530)
System clock synchronized: no
NTP service: inactive
RTC in local TZ: no
I tried to set ntp as 1
then changing the time and also setting the hwclock to --systohc as well. still every time i reboot the system resets.

You should use the RTC0 clock. Default is on RTC1.

i’m actually trying to install all the jetpack components using the “.deb” packages that i have downloaded from the repo instead of using command as i want to install them offline, using a script that would install them. during the process i suddenly loose settings application and then once process ends and the next time i boot the system i face the clock error and it is just stuck there.

this is the error message that i received : The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920x1200@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." The above error occurs on multiple monitors, while other monitor simply display a blank screen at this step

I would say you can file a new topic for this issue.

Since your topic is only for timedate, we just focus on timedate. Please do not mix everything into just one topic.

BTW, I just want to double confirm this. Is this RTC issue the one you are asking?

It is weird that you suddenly hit this issue because this setting has been there for quite long (default rtc is rtc1 instead of rtc0).

I would say it seems your previous jetpack version is too old.
