Title: AutoCAD Not Respecting GPU Selection in NVIDIA Control Panel

Issue Description:
I have two NVIDIA GPUs (GPU 0 and GPU 1). In the NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings, I manually selected AutoCAD and set it to use GPU 1. However, AutoCAD continues to run on GPU 0 instead.

Troubleshooting Done:

  • Confirmed the correct .exe (e.g., acad.exe) is selected in NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • Updated NVIDIA drivers to the latest version.
  • Checked Windows Graphics Settings (AutoCAD is set to “High Performance” for GPU 1).

Questions:

  1. Why does AutoCAD ignore the GPU assignment in NVIDIA Control Panel?
  2. Are there additional steps (e.g., registry edits, profile resets) to enforce GPU selection?
  3. Could this be a multi-GPU rendering limitation in AutoCAD?

Hello @1121405143

Welcome to the NVIDIA Developer forums. For your issue, I suggest posting to a forum that supports the AutoCAD product.

I suggest to also try the GeForce forums. That community caters to the consumer and may offer some help with AutoCAD.

I have already sought help from the autocad community. They hope that I will seek support from Nvidia
