how about TX1 ,same to TK1 ?
thank u.

hello cambridge,

please try -G command to clone the image.
share steps and commands to clone rootfs as below.

  1. Clone:
    $ sudo ./flash.sh -r -k APP -G backup.img jetson-tx1 mmcblk0p1

  2. Back up backup.img:
    $ sudo mv backup.img <back_up_path>/

  3. Flash backup.img to new board:
    a. Place backup.img to under bootloader directory with name system.img
    sudo ln -s <back_up_path>/backup.img bootloader/system.img b. Flash the cloned system image: sudo ./flash.sh -r -k APP jetson-tx1 mmcblk0p1

thanks for your reply,we will try.

Hi,JerryChang
There is one problem: ./flash.sh :illegal option --G

thank u.

hello cambridge,

sorry, you need to apply this patch to add clone(-G) feature.
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1000105/jetson-tx2/tx2-cloning/post/5111893/#5111893

please take a try, thanks

Hi,JerryChang
I got your reply.
but I have a doubt:

sudo ./flash.sh -r -k APP -G backup.img jetson-tx1 mmcblk0p1

This cmd will clone APP partition only ? or whole flash(APP EBT …)

thank u.

hello cambridge,

yes, this command only clone the APP partition only

sudo ./flash.sh -r -k APP -G backup.img jetson-tx1 mmcblk0p1

Hi,JerryChang
At the milestone of manufacture,emmc flash is a new IC(there is nothing in it).
If we flash only APP.img, the new board will boot normally ?
If not ,How we get the clone file of whole flash ?

thank u.

I know on the JTK1 it was possible to clone not only a particular partition, but there was also “all” (an alias?) possible. One of the TK1 options is to clone eMMC based on 4k byte block offsets, e.g., from “0” to whatever the max eMMC size is in 4k blocks. I’m kind of wondering if the JTX1 and 2 have an option to clone by eMMC byte offset as well…this would do the job for you if it is possible.

Hi,linuxdev

thanks for your note,
there is so little infomation about this.
we will try after get new flash IC.
