Which log files are we supposed to search for these errors ?
I am experiencing the same issue with the display freezing when using the touchpad.
Laptop: Clevo W230ST with Nvidia GTX 765M
OS: Linux 3.14.4-1-ARCH
Driver version: 337.12
Issue will occur randomly every 5sec-10mins whenever using the touchpad. Issue does not occur when using other input devices. E.g. a usb mouse.
Display can be unfrozen by switching virtual terminals. After switching the X.org log shows the following:

Plz check if latest 331.79 driver fix this issue
Similar experience here. Ubuntu 14.04 64bit running on DELL M3800 laptop. Random freezes when using touchpad. I have Nvidia driver 331.38. As previously reported, switching to console and back again unfreezes the system. (ctrl+alt+(fn)+F1 and ctrl+alt+(fn)+F7)
It looks like screen corruption after resume from suspend is fixed in 337.25 and 331.79.
Freeze while using touchpad is still happening though.
File to track Bug 200011031 issue : After resume, try to hover arrow by using touchpad screen get freezes.
I was getting some relief from using certain Nvidia kernel options.
When I load the nvidia kernel module like this:
modprobe nvidia NVreg_RegisterForACPIEvents=1
I get a clean resume from suspend to RAM.
Without this module option, even the latest 337.x or 340.17 drivers do not resume correctly and give me a corrupted screen. Try this nvidia module option and give feedback if it helps!
Same on my HP Envy 17 64-bit laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 and Nvidia 331.38, with same workarounds.
The 2nd issue, screen freezing when using the touchpad is still present. I have to switch VT every time it happens, and it can happen every 30s so it’s quite annoying.
I’m using the latest nvidia drivers 340.24 with kernel 3.16-rc3.
bump.
Anything new here?
Bump.
