Hi
I’m getting the ‘RmInitAdapter failed (0x26:0x65:1226)’ from dmeg each time.
X-window can’t display.
What’s RmInitAdapter failed (0x26:0x65:1226) mean?

Windows 7 and 10 are work normal.

I am having the same problems on a Quadro P2000 on

  • Ubuntu 19.10
  • Linux 5.3.0-29-generic (amd64)
  • on a Dell Precision 5530
  • with driver version 440.48.02
  • cmdline: BOOT_IMAGE=/ubuntu-os/@rootfs/boot/vmlinuz-5.3.0-29-generic root=UUID=36195aba-d441-4b0e-9546-df0d3719cb23 ro rootflags=subvol=ubuntu-os/@rootfs mem_sleep_default=deep nouveau.modeset=0 rcutree.rcu_idle_gp_delay=1 pcie_aspm=off vt.handoff=7

I’ve previously written an Email to Nvidia Support with a bug report, but I’ve not received any reply.

I’ve added rcutree.rcu_idle_gp_delay=1 pcie_aspm=off to my Kernel cmdline after reading suggestions about it online, but to no avail.

Having the same issue as well

I also have this issue. I have tried installing using the .run file and the RPMFusion rpms. It used to work fine, but stopped working a few months back.

The gpu is most likely broken. Try reseating the card in its slot, check if it works in another system. If to no avail, RMA/replace.
