Ubuntu 21.10 - Lenovo Thinkpad + Docking Station - No Signal on most of the monitors

Hi everyone,

Hardware: Thinkpad X1 Gen 2 32GB RAM + Docking Station 40AC Thunderbolt 3.
O.S. Ubuntu 21.10
Nvidia Driver 510.

In the ThinkPad BIOS the setting is to use an “Hybrid GPU” and from Nvidia Prime selector “Nvidia On Demand” .

3 Monitors connected to the docking station - all the same model samsumg 205bw with 1680x1050 resolution.

Issue:
I’m not able anymore to use all the three monitors with any of the nvidia driver (I’m still trying downgrading).
All the monitors ARE recognized by the system, but they are disabled. Monitor stay blank.

If I disconnect the docking station and reconnect it, I can enable only one monitor at time.
If I try to enable more than one monitor, ALL the monitors stays blank.

All monitors work properly with Nouveau drivers.

In the attachment the bug report.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

Previous reports from users point to a bug in the nvidia driver regarding DP MST support when more than two monitors are driven over the same DP link. Does it work when only two monitors are physically connected?
Apart from this, I guess you can only mail your log with a description of the bug to linux-bugs[at]nvidia.com for maybe some more attention.
