What would be a lower cost combination of Nvidia GPU and ConnectX-7 NIC to do GPUDirect reception and processing

I am interested in designing with a VPX3U-BW5000E-CX7 which is an integrated GPU, NIC on one board. I would like to purchase separate GPU and NIC cards to experiment with the doca_gpu_packet_processing app to do GPUNetIO (GPUDirect) packket reception and orocessing. I have looked at the RTX A2000 for the GPU but would like the most reasonably priced solution for the GPU and NIC that I can prove out this development and then port to the VPX3U-BW5000E-CX7.

Please help.

For the doca_gpu_packet_processing example, DOCA doesn’t require a specific GPU/NIC SKU, only that:

1/ NIC side

+ Use any DOCA-supported ConnectX adapter (including ConnectX-7) that appears in the DOCA documentation as supported for DOCA GPUNetIO / GPU Packet Processing.

+ Ensure the NIC and GPU share a suitable PCIe topology (same root complex / switch) so GPUDirect RDMA can work correctly.

2/ GPU side

+ Use a CUDA-capable GPU that supports GPUDirect RDMA and is listed as supported for your DOCA release.

+ Performance level (entry vs high-end) is up to your model complexity and budget; the sample app itself just assumes GPUDirect-capable CUDA hardware.

The most accurate, up-to-date compatibility information is in the DOCA docs, e.g.:

+ DOCA GPU Packet Processing Application Guide (hardware and topology requirements)

For recommendations on the cheapest or best combination that matches your VPX3U-BW5000E-CX7 design, please coordinate with NVIDIA Sales or an authorized NVIDIA partner so they can match parts to your specific system and commercial needs.
