A100 80GB PCIe GPU - best positioning for external thermal sensors?

Hi

I’m looking to fit an A100 80GB PCIe GPU inside a 2U rack server.

The server has an auxiliary temperature sense probe that can be bonded to the GPU, in order for the server fans to respond sufficiently to the GPU temperature.

I wonder if anyone could provide guidance on the area of case that would most closely track the internal device temperatures ?

Even a photo of the device with the case removed would be of some benefit, if anyone had one.
