About output_plane and capture_plane of 04_video_dec_trt sample application

Here is a picture from the 04_video_dec_trt example.
Can you explain the meaning of output_plane and capture_plane here?

The h264 bitstream is fed into buffers at output plane and the decoded YUVs are in buffers at capture plane.
