After Updating SDKManager can't get a proper install

I am trying to get SDK Manager to setup on my Linux workstation but after I update it, it errors out with the following:

11:56:13 ERROR: CUDA on Host - host: E: Version ‘10.2.19*’ for ‘cuda-toolkit-10-2’ was not found

Any suggestions to fix this?

Hi @jpvans ,

I don’t think it’s related to sdkmanager update because Nvidia pegasus flashing failed has the same error messages as yours.
Please start from manually clarifying the problem of running below command on your host system. Thanks.

$ sudo apt-get update; sleep 0.5; sudo apt-get -y --allow-downgrades install cuda-toolkit-10-2=10.2.19*

What’s your sdkmanager version? BTW, could you help to provide below information next time.

Please compress ~/.nvsdkm directory and provide it for our analysis. Have you checked if Nvidia pegasus flashing failed helps?

I have no idea why “sudo apt-get update” output doesn’t contain any /var/cuda-repo-10-2-local-10.2.19* lines.

I can’t remove all CUDA packages because the NVIDIA Graphic Card driver needs it. Can you advise how to handle this?

Please try with sudo apt purge <package_name> to remove related packages. After that, you can install your GPU drivers and then start the installation via SDK Manager. Thanks.

You previously installed CUDA 10.2.89 which has conflict with CUDA 10.2.19.
So, you have to uninstall CUDA 10.2.89 first to clean up the environment and then reinstall 10.2.19 with SDKM.
