My environment:
Kit: Nvidia AGX Orin.
JetPack 6.2.1
The issue: All the USB ports on the kit just stop working. Not sure what trigger the issues because they all work at the beginning during the installation.
Now none of the USB devices can be detected by the OS, lsusb just shows nothing
nvidia@orin:~$ lsusb
nvidia@orin:~$ sudo dmesg | grep usb

I have to work with some other devices whose drivers require Jetpack 6.2.1 specifically, so, no chance to upgrade to 7.x.x for me
Are there any way to revive the USB ports?

I have learned that the USB ports cut off power a while after the kit powered up causing USB devices stop working
Hello @plain2 ,
This seems to be related to XUSB/VBUS power control. Could you share the following output?
sudo dmesg | grep -iE 'xusb|xhci|firmware|usb|vbus'
That should help determine whether the controller is failing during firmware initialization or whether VBUS is being disabled at some point.

Hope to hear you back
Is this a NV devkit or a custom board?

It is the original devkit, not a custom board
please flash your jetpack version with latest one first.
I doubt it is not a pure software issue.

Thank you for your suggestion but I have to stick to Jetpack 6.2.1 other wise the devices that will be connected to the kit will not work because of the drivers requests
It is not the point to stick to your version.
If there is hardware problem, then you have to do RMA… but not stick to keep that board.
That is why need to cross check different version first. If all of them have the same issue, might be hardware problem.

Sorry @WayneWWW for late reply,
I have not upgraded to latest version of Jetpack, but I install the same things to another kit and the USB ports stay alive.
So I guess RMA is my next step ?
still do what I said first please… you still need to validate on that problematic board. That is the SOP before RMA.
