Is AV1 Enoding Supported on the Orin Nano?
If so, how many 1080P streams can it encode at the same time?
I know there are more factors of the actual stream itself but some ballpark preliminary data would help me select the apropriate hardware.

Hi,
No hardware encoders in Orin Nano. So you would need to use software encoder. CPU should be able to afford single 1080p30 encoding.
For capability of Orin Nano, please refer to

Yo may consider Orin NX if hardware encoders is required:

Can it do more than one stream with software encoder?
Hi,
It is suggested to encode single instance. For encoding multiple instances, frame rate may drop.
Is there another solution besides orin nx that can considered for multiple streams?
Hi,
For AV1 hardware encoder, you can consider AGX Orin and Orin NX.
If you can use H264 or H265 in the use-case, can consider Xavier NX or Jetson Nano.
