Basic doumentation: What is the standard localhost URL?

Hi

Great that you are making RTX a free release! Thanks for sharing.

I installed RTX and it runs. I pointed to a large folder (why try a small first…) so it takes a while for the model to build.

However, the app does not open up in my browser. It did the first time, where I could point to said folder. I think it was 127.0.0.1/“something”, and now I can’t find the URL where the UI was…

I can’t find the documentation either, the GitHub link is to something slightly different I think.

Looks like you are running: Quickstart - but their standard URL is not it either.

Anyway, does anyone have the URL, so I can test if I am looking at an error, where python does not invoke the browser?

Best regards

Kristian

When you start the Chat it opens up a terminal window and once it is up you see the (IP and) port at the bottom.
I had bookmarked port 11705, but it just came up with http://127.0.0.1:47028 and next with 32092.
Looks dynamic and I can only guess it’s some security feature.

Hi

Thanks for that clarification. I don’t understand why you would need dynamic port assignment for something only running locally. Anyway, I am currently trying to reinstall with the “clean reinstall” option.

I guess it’s just a quirk. I will try and feed it less data this time. I’m running on a laptop at the minimum requirements end of the scale.

Best regards

Kristian

It worked to do a clean install.
