Can explore all cuda features with 8600/950

Hi all;

  1. I want know what is the best gpu I can use to learn CUDA between (NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GS on a laptop and NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS on a desktop).

  2. Can explore all the features of cuda with those cards( <img src=‘http://hqnveipbwb20/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif’ class=‘bbc_emoticon’ alt=’:’(’ /> I can not buy 8800).

Thanks for help

Those cards should support everything CUDA can do, including atomic global memory writes. (Definintely for the 9500, and I’m pretty sure also true for the 8600M). The most important thing is that you make sure you have at least 256 MB of graphics memory, with 512 being preferable. GPUs with only 128 MB of memory don’t work so well with CUDA, since the normal OS GUI takes up most of that memory.
