Cant get image from camera

Hi, i have a camera connected, an IMX 219-160 ( IMX219-160 Camera - Waveshare Wiki )

I follow the instructions on their wiki page and with this command:

DISPLAY=:0.0 gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! 'video/x-raw(memory:NVMM), width=3280, height=2464, format=(string)NV12, framerate=(fraction)20/1' ! nvoverlaysink -e

I get this output in terminal but no image:

What should i do to get image from the camera?
If more info is needed let me know

You may try without specifiying DISPLAY nor video mode.
Assuming you have a monitor attached, does the following work ?

gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! nvoverlaysink

Same output, no image

  1. Verify the sensor driver by v4l2-ctl
  2. Try the nvgstcapture-1.0 or any others argus sample code.

By using this commando:

v4l2-compliance -d /dev/video0

I get this output:

Did you see the preview on HDMI display monitor?
Have a check below command to confirm can capture frame data continuously.

v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl bypass_mode=0 --stream-mmap --stream-count=200 -d /dev/video0

I have an HDMI Monitor connected, adding --verbose to that command i just get this:

~$ v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl bypass_mode=0 --stream-mmap --stream-count=200 -d /dev/video0 --verbose
VIDIOC_QUERYCAP: ok
VIDIOC_S_EXT_CTRLS: ok
VIDIOC_REQBUFS: ok
VIDIOC_QUERYBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QUERYBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QUERYBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QUERYBUF: ok
VIDIOC_QBUF: ok
VIDIOC_STREAMON: ok

But no preview from the camera

EDIT:
I also tried with this:

v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl bypass_mode=0 --stream-mmap --stream-count=1 --stream-to=frame.raw -d /dev/video0 --verbose

And i get the same output and an empty frame.raw file

Enable the CSI capture status by below command and capture by v4l2-ctl without --verbose to check if any error message from the kernel message.

sudo su
echo file csi2_fops.c +p > /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control

Still nothing.

But checking on syslog i found this error constantly repeating:

Jul 9 12:34:07 jetson-nano nvargus-daemon[5073]: (Argus) Error InvalidState: (propagating from src/api/ScfCaptureThread.cpp, function run(), line 109)
Jul 9 12:34:07 jetson-nano nvargus-daemon[5073]: SCF: Error InvalidState: Session has suffered a critical failure (in src/api/Session.cpp, function capture(), line 667)

EDIT: Restarting nvargus-daemon didnt change anything

Run the v4l2-ctl would see the preview. But if it can capture continuously the console will show the fps.

Console doesnt show anything, should i just get a replacement camera?

Yes, if you have another camera.
Looks like can’t capture data from this module.

Got another camera and worked immediately
