CloudXR Security

Pointing a client at an IP address is very convenient for testing, but I’m thinking ahead to the security needs of enterprises. Cloud rendering is very attractive for a lot of reasons, but it also raises a lot of security issues.

The FAQ section of the docs state “NVIDIA CloudXR does not support client-server authentication or video stream encryption”. Are there recommendations of how to layer those things onto a CloudXR-based solution? Or are there plans to implement authentication and/or encryption?

Hello Todd1, we are exploring supporting encryption with CloudXR. As an SDK we likely won’t offer functions like negotiating client-server authentication, but supporting encryption is something we plan on addressing.
