Compiling error: ld: warning: directory not found for option

Hello everyone.

It is nice to join the PGI User Forum.

I am having this problem when I try to compile any fortran code:

File with unknown suffix passed to linker: ****.f
ld: warning: directory not found for option ‘-L/usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin10/4.2.1/x86_64’
ld: warning: directory not found for option ‘-L/usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin10/4.2.1’
ld: file not found: ****.f

This problem apear after I updated my OS to Mac Maverick.

Hi Badrianoo,

After updating to Maverick, you’ll need to then upgrade to Xcode 5, install new Xcode command tools, and then reinstall your PGI compilers.
