However today i cannot run a docker container with GPU capabilities. I tried to reinstall the latest toolkit, as per Installing the NVIDIA Container Toolkit — NVIDIA Container Toolkit and on the same page i run configuration and then restarted docker.
First of all i cannot run the documented command as is ie runtime nvidia fails to run
$ docker run --rm --runtime=nvidia --gpus all nvcr.io/nvidia/cuda:13.0.2-cudnn-runtime-ubuntu24.04 nvidia-smi
docker: Error response from daemon: unknown or invalid runtime name: nvidia
But also by removing the runtime it still fails suggesting there are no devices with gpu capabilities
$ docker run --rm --gpus all nvcr.io/nvidia/cuda:13.0.2-cudnn-runtime-ubuntu24.04 nvidia-smi
docker: Error response from daemon: could not select device driver "" with capabilities: [[gpu]]
Could you suggest what I am missing here?
