Since I don’t have a nvidia display card, I need to change the display to type 1 (FakeSink) or type 3 (File). So, I need to know where to change it?, what is the config file used for the test ./deepstream-test1-app?, I have changed all the below files to type 3 without success (I guess these are applicable only to the deepstream-app sample):

You can change from deepstream test1 code,
sink = gst_element_factory_make (“nveglglessink”, “nvvideo-renderer”);
change nveglglessink to fakesink

or you can use deepstream-app, the config have the option to change

Can you recommend how to run these tets for better understanding?, and also are there some benchmarks to compare performance running DeepStrem on CPU versus GPU only?; or benchmarks for GPU only at least?; one more, what are the best GPU models to run DeepStream?

Hi amycao, I have followed the instructions as described in 5A to setup the virtual dispaly; however, I am getting the same error “could not init EGL display connection”. I guess I am missing some step to redirect the output to the virtual display within the docker. Here is what I am doing:

Can you run xhost + before run docker command, if you run within desktop
or you can give a try by export DISPLAY=:0 before run docker command.

No, I didn’t stop the X server, also when I ran the test the log file didn’t update, should I delete it and run the test again?

Have you fixed this issue, if not can you try another option, streaming through sink2 RTSPStreaming,
then you can view through vlc, rtsp://ip-of-system-running-ds-app:8554/ds-test

I could run deepstream-app -c source1_usb_dec_infer_resnet_int8.txt via rtsp and fakesink except nveglgssink.
I want to know why? Since I check lsmod | grep nvidia, could see nvidia card. Below command also run successfully
gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! “video/x-raw,format=YUY2, width=640, height=480, framerate=25/1” ! videoconvert ! “video/x-raw,format=NV12,width=640, height=480, framerate=25/1” ! nvvideoconvert ! nveglglessink –e
So I think on my container I could use nveglglessink.

Please export DISPLAY=:0 or 1
xrandr (to check if display available)
xhost + (before you run docker)
and add
“-v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY”
in your docker command
