Failed to initialize NVML: Driver/Library mismatch on jetson orin nano

I followed the official guide on the ubuntu website on installing ubuntu 22.04 on jetson orin nano, but I got this message after installing cuda when running nvidia-smi: “Failed to initialize NVML: Driver/Library version mismatch
NVML library version: 540.03”

Hi,

Could you setup the device with JetPack to get our standard release?
We have verified the JetPack OS (which is also based on Ubuntu 22.02) and it should work on Jetson.

This seems to be related to this issue. We are working on a proper solution and will provide a workaround soon. In the meantime, as suggested above, you can try to use Jetpack 6
