Fedora 10 cuda enabled driver install API mismatch error after installing cuda enabled drivers on fe

I recently installed fedora 10 updated it to the latest version and then tried to install the cuda enabled nvidia drivers, I used the version 9 drivers off of the cuda download page. After restarting i get an error: “NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 180.22, but
NVRM: this kernel module has the version 180.25. Please
NVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components have the same version.”
The x server will not start.
Thank you for your help

it sounds like Fedora tried to install its own drivers over NV drivers, and badness was the result! reinstall whichever drivers you actually want to use.

After a few tries this worked, thank you.
