Find mc-err message on TX1

Hi Guys,

Sometimes, I find the mc-err message on TX1:

alleen.wang,

Could you describe more about your issue?

Hi Wayne,

We try send the some data to PCIe device at this time.
TX1 was shown this error message.

Thanks!!!

Are you using jetpack3.2? Please describe more about your system/BSP/carrier board.

I understand you are sending some data to PCIe device.

Hi Wayne,

I used JetPack3.1, but I select old version 2.3.1.
TX1 module installed on our customized board.
Ubuntu version is “16.04.4”.
Kernel version is “3.10.96”.

We may have resolved this issue on rel-28.2. Would you like to give a try?

I also am seeing this issue on 28.1 using a PCI wireless Qualcomm card… am currently in process of upgrading to 28.2 and will post results here.

See my similar case here:

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1032074/jetson-tx1/ath10k-driver-failing-with-wireless-pcie-card-on-tx1/post/5251115/#5251115

Hi Wayne,

We try to porting all drivers to rel-28.2.
But we need more time for this action.

After porting finish, we will try to reproduce this issue, and will feedback results on here.

Thanks!!!

Hi alleen.wang and ryeager12,

Can you still reproduce this issue after upgraded to R28.2?
Any result can be shared?

Thanks

Hi Kaycc,

I still try to porting our PCIe device driver to R28.2, but I got another issue.

Case address :
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1032967/jetson-tx1/-quot-dma_alloc_coherent-quot-return-memory-address-can-t-to-use-for-quot-virt_to_page-quot-on-jetpack-3-2-tx1-kernel/post/5255767/?offset=5#5255873

If I solve this issue, I will report test results.

Thanks!!!
