GDS requirement for cards

Hi. I know GD RMDA is only compatible with Tesla and Quadro cards, but recently I noticed that for GDS it says Ampere Architecture are supported. Does that mean GDS works on the RTX30 series?

Ampere architecture is supported on Data center GPUS
A100, A10 , A16, A30 and A40 GPUS.

GPUDirect Storage supports RTX cards in compatible mode only.
P2P support is not present in RTX30 series cards.

Thanks for clarification. Will complete GDS and p2p support possibly be added to thoes GPUS in the future? Or it’s limited at hardware level?
