Given invalid phone number error when verifying it for API Access

Hi, I am trying to access the API, there is a banner at the top that says “Please verify your account to get API access.” I click it, enter my phone number with the country code and click Send Code via SMS. I’m then given an error that my number is invalid. Even though it is my normal verizon iphone number. I have tried dozens of times over the past few days to see if it would eventually just work but it has not. I now just tried it with a friends phone number and it worked. So I was able to get the API key but if I could eventually update the phone number correctly to mine, that would probably be helpful. (Also the select country code button is super buggy)
