A few days ago there was a deal on Amazon where you can get a GX10 with 4TB ssd for 3999. Not only was that gone, they bumped the price for the 1TB version to 3999… I was considering getting 2 more for a 4 node cluster and it hurt when I saw it.

I wonder If the FE DGX spark will go up next. Rtx pro 6000 bumped to $13k+. Glad that I got my 2 sparks when I did.

My local Microcenter has yet to catch on. They are still listing the same GX10 at $3500. It likely won’t last too long at that price. If you have a Microcenter within reach…

edit: Newegg had the Acer Veriton VG100 (GB10 OEM box) 4TB for $3800, which seems like better value than a 1TB box for $300 more.
The Acer Veriton GN100 4TB is still a great deal at $3800 for the 4tb.
I was watching those ASUS GB10’s on Amazon as well. Got talked into 2 Acer VN100’s with 4tb drives and found them for just under $4k

I have not found 4TB replacement drives, unfortunately. But I have a 100TB NAS for my model zoo and output storage. 1TB should be enough for me for a little while with a well designed system

Search Amazon/Newegg/BH Photo for Corsair MP700 Micro and you’ll find it in 4TB sizes.
Yeah, I got one of these around February when they were still reasonably priced. More than doubled since then.
Ha! I suppose what I meant by not “finding” the 4TB drives was not framed correctly. I mean I haven’t found 4TB drives at prices I am willing to pay.
I have enough resources already to work around the lack of storage. 1TB is plenty to hold a collection of models locally as a cache that are actively running. Output, logs, models that are being swapped in and out of use all make their way to my NAS which has been working just fine for now.
I have a much harder time paying 3x for storage when I have so much of it available.
I got my Asus GX10 for 3200€ in Austria in April. Was hoping that by end of Summer prices would fall to sub 3k and I could get another one. Well, now the cheapest is 3800-3900 and they only seem to be rising.
For those in US, aside from Newegg, BestBuy is selling GN100 at pretty much the same price, 5-10% off too with their card. I just ordered it to a neighboring sales tax free state to pick it up.
In Taiwan, starting in June, the price of Asus Ascent GX10 1TB increase from 3900 to 5500, it is crazy.
For those of you considering the Acer Veriton GN100 beware that they silently removed the PCIe Gen 5 NVMe as was in the reviews (storagereview) and put in a dramless gen 4 drive instead. They went from one of the best NVMe drives to the absolute cheapest.
This is the first time that I bough a computing devices that is worth more now than what I paid for it.
Yeah I noticed that and was a bit disappointed when I received mine and found out. It’s hard to know what to believe because the spec sheets out there are all over the place, so the storagereview article was a good confirmation that it was gen5. Oh well, still a good deal I think.
