Is CUDA available on GeForce TM 8600M GT? CUDA availability on notebook GPU model

I wonder whether CUDA can be used on a notebook GPU model (GeForce TM 8600M GT).

I tried installing the CUDA video driver (Windows Display Driver version 162.01 for CUDA Toolkit version 1.0). However, the setup program reported that the driver and the GPU are not compatible.

I used Dell Inspiron 1720 notebook, with WinXP system.

Anyone knows the CUDA availability on notebook GPU models? Thanks in advance.

As far as I’m aware CUDA 1.0 is compatible with all G80 and later GPU’s including the mobile chips, so yeah it should be.
