We are pleased to announce NVIDIA’s first official Yocto release for JetPack 7.2 (rel-39.2). This release provides NVIDIA-validated Yocto recipes for Jetson through the community-driven OpenEmbedded for Tegra (OE4T) project.
The JetPack 7.2 Yocto release includes:
- JetPack 7.2 (rel-39.2) Yocto support in the OE4T meta-tegra master branch, aligned with Yocto 6.1 Blacksail.
- JetPack 7.2 (rel-39.2) Yocto support in the OE4T meta-tegra Wrynose LTS branch, aligned with Yocto 6.0.
- Pre-built Yocto binaries for Jetson Orin and Jetson Thor developer kits on the JetPack 7.2 downloads and notes page.
- A Yocto on Jetson Quick Start Guide for getting started with Yocto images on Jetson.
This release expands the Jetson software ecosystem for developers building customized embedded Linux distributions, production BSPs, and long-lived product software stacks with Yocto.
The Jetson Yocto Ecosystem
With official Yocto Project support on Jetson, NVIDIA is expanding the Jetson ecosystem to help developers accelerate and simplify production development.
Distribution and ISV partners include Konsulko Group and Peridio, offering complete OS solutions and Balena, providing container-based fleet management and deployment at scale.
Engineering and services partners including Neurealm, RidgeRun, and WindRiver provide embedded Linux expertise, BSP customization, multimedia pipeline development, NRE services, and long-term platform support.
