Jetson Nano Module flashed OS successfully, however when booting only shows NVIDIA logo

Hi team,
I am using Jetson Nano Module with Jetson-IO-Base-A (https://www.waveshare.com/jetson-nano-dev-kit-a.htm?sku=21650)

Initially, I used NVIDIA SDK Manager to flash OS for the Jetson Nano Module, the SDK reported flashing successful. However when booting only shows the NVIDIA logo.

I contacted Waveshare, Waveshare technician instructed me to “add overlay files for supporting new memory from PCN211181”.

I have followed these steps as per the steps I sent in the attached file. (

)
However, when I successfully flash, when I restart the Jetson Nano Module, it still only displays the NVIDIA logo.

Can you help me see if I have done the steps correctly, what do I need to do to fix this problem?

dump out the serial log as below website .

Hi @WayneWWW ,
I send you the serial log.
serial_Log_JetsonNanoModule.docx (37.6 KB)

DRAM: 2 GiB

Above DRAM size in your log indicates you didn’t apply the overlay patch correctly. It didn’t take effect.
How did you do that?

Hi @WayneWWW

Could you share the content of your Linux_for_Tegra/bootloader/t210ref/BCT/P3448_A00_lpddr4_204Mhz_P987.cfg?

Hi @WayneWWW ,
I send you the content of P3448_A00_lpddr4_204Mhz_P987.cfg.

You better attaching the whole file… This file has over 2000 lines which I don’t think a screenshot would help…

Hi @WayneWWW
I send you the P3448_A00_lpddr4_204Mhz_P987.cfg file.
P3448_A00_lpddr4_204Mhz_P987.zip (23.8 KB)

The file is still the old one. You could read the same file in the overlay tarball and you will find out they are different.

Hi @WayneWWW ,
Can you guide me through the steps to make this change?

Basically it is just you need to put everything in the overlay to your BSP directory and overwrite the old files.

And after doing that, you should not change anything and just flash the board.

Hi @WayneWWW ,
I will try again and resend the P3448_A00_lpddr4_204Mhz_P987.cfg file for you to check for me.

Hi,

You should be able to check by yourself… I really don’t think that requires me to help you.

This is basic file operation in Linux… They are just text files.

Hi @WayneWWW ,
Yeah, I will try again.

Hi @WayneWWW ,
I fixed it successfully. Jetson Nano Module boot ok. Thank you for your support!

Heyo @phamxuanvi93, i have bumped onto the same issue with the exact waveshare board (with the extension board it comes eith, unrelated). Ive been unsuccessful with flashing the emmc, and was wondering if you could tell me what jetpack version you used, if you used the sdkmanager with the streamlined gui, or used flash.sh through the terminal!
Thanks kindly
