Jetson Orin Nano 8GB broken

Dear NVIDIA Team,

i had issues with an Orin Nano 8GB SOM that refused to boot up.

After some investigation, i figured out, that the SOM runs into an error, that can be observed in the Debug UART and then automatically switches to Force-Recovery mode after some boot-loop attempts.

Here you can see the Debug-Uart log of the SOM during startup and my try to reflash it.

The error reminds me of an old issue we had, where we were told the RMA the module:

For further investigation, I put the SOM into the Orin Devkit (P3766) and tried to flash the SOM.

After the first attempt, the Flashing failed.

At the beginning of a second attempt, a chip on the SOM smoked so i turned it off.

A colleague of mine from the hardware team told me, that the chip is part of the power supply.

So our possibilities to analyse the issue further might be limited in this case.

Can you provide us further instruction, on how to analyse or proceed in this issue?

Best regards,

Andreas

Hello,

Can you provide high resolution pictures with top and bottom view that need to clear enough to read the letters on the stickers, please ?

Hi,

here are some detailed images.

Let me know if you need a higher quality of the entire board or of some specific areas.

Best regards,

Andreas
