Jetson Orin Nano (8GB L4T 36.3) Not booting up

This issue popped up out of nowhere when I started to boot up my device, the power LED turns on for roughly 5 seconds before turning off. These are the bootlog that I’ve managed to get. Can anybody help me on resolving this issue?

bootlog.txt (75.1 KB)

Are you sure the power LED “turn off” every time?

Power off is not a common behavior that caused by software. Are you sure your boot log stuck in same location every time?

Yes, the power LED Turns off everytime. I’ve logged the bootup process thrice and it always ends at the same location.

Could you try to flash your board with sdkmanager from another x86 host PC?

I did try flashing using SDK manager, but the device keeps disconnecting from the host as soon as the jetson turns off. I get the message “Device has been disconnected”.

What is the power supply in use here? “Power off” should not be anything related to software.

I am using the power supply that comes bundled with the orin nano kit.
Output:19.0 V, 2.37 Amp, 45 Watt.

The power socket which it is connected to ,is also stable and within the working limits of the adapter.

I’ve tried changing the power supply but still no luck….

Is this a custom carrier board design, or from one of our ecosystem partners? Could you confirm which Jetson module you are using?

It is the standard issued carrier board that you guys offer with your dev kit. I’m using the Jetson Orin Nano 8GB Module.

Could you send picture of the carrier board with the part number on it?

Is this the only unit on which you have issue or you have tried other units and they are working as expected?

This is the only unit that is not working. I am considering to acquire new kits but I desperately need to get this one running as soon as possible as it keeps delaying my project deadline….

Hi,

Our point here is do you have another device right now to do the cross check.

I can arrange one, yes.

please do cross check if the carrier board or module has problem. Sudden power off may not be software issue.

Alright, will get back to you as soon as I get it tested.

Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?
