This is my first time ever seeing a CTX Switch Context error on any of my Nvidia cards in over 15 years.
But this is my first non-EVGA card also. ROG-STRIX-LC-RTX3080TI-O12G-GAMING.
I have not had any issues on this host up through kernels 5.15 through 6.7 and drivers 525 through 535 for the EVGA RTX 3080 Hybrid card the Asus was replacing simply for more CUDA cores and memory bandwidth.
The host does compute only as all my hosts do. But this card can’t handle any contention with the video and compute pipelines when screen redraws happen when resizing or opening windows. The EVGA card has no issues. I’m calling the Asus card design defective or incompatible with the drivers.
Pulling the card out and putting the EVGA card back and I will have no issues with screen redraws again.
