NVIDIA announced a new technology embedded in its NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 Dx SmartNIC and BlueField-2 I/O Processing Unit to optimize 5G networks.

Dear Nefi,

I have some questions with regard to 5T for 5G technology.
What’s the requirement to support the feature on a general linux based server with ConnectX-6 DX ?

I’m developing an application (with a server equipped with a ConnectX-6 DX) which transmits a user traffic from 10 to 200 Gbps and having difficulties in shaping a traffic at a specific rate.
It looks like “Packet Pacing” feature conforms to our requirement. What’s the requirement to support the feature on a general linux based server with ConnectX-6 DX ?

Thank you and Best regards,

Kevin

I’m sorry for the delay. I haven’t been able to find the right person to answer your question. Maybe NVIDIA Support would be the best resource. Good luck!
