Nvidia drivers installation for AMD/Nvidia hybrid system Ubuntu 16.04

I am trying to install drivers for my Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop with AMD Ryzen 9 4800HS and NVIDIA RTX 2060 Max-Q graphics. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS which i cannot upgrade as i am working with ROS Kinetic which is supported only on this OS.

I managed to install nvidia driver 450 using the .run file and the --no-opengl-files option.

I cannot install nvidia prime and use the nvidia gpu even after manually editing the config files as mentioned in this thread: -

There was no 10-nvidia.conf file in my xorg.conf

I understand that prime doesnt work on linux kernel < 4.5 but it is fine if i cant use the amdgpu ever, i just need the system to work on the nvidia gpu even if its always utilised.
