I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 22 on an HP laptop with NVIDIA Corporation GA107GLM [RTX A2000 Mobile]. Used Software and Updates panel to install 525 proprietary driver. rebooted. open terminal and run nvidia-smi and I get the following error “NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.” Also dkms status yeilds "nvidia/525.89.02, 5.19.0-38-generic, x86_64: installed (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!)
