nvidia-smi error Seg Fault with nvidia-smi error

Hi,

I am doing system setup for CUDA on Linux box (RHEL) and have installed display drivers. When I am ruuning the command

[root@ban-tesla-ext /]# nvidia-smi
Segmentation fault

I get segmentation fault. I tried below also

[root@ban-tesla-ext /]# nvidia-smi -v
ECC is not supported by GPU 0 or the ECC counts cannot be reset
ECC is not supported by GPU 1 or the ECC counts cannot be reset

Can any one help me in resolving this issue.

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? We have the same problem, and it happens with a number of driver sets, both 180.x and 260.x.
