Photoshop not selecting Nvidia GPU on Tesla m60 with ESXi 6.0

Hi,

First a little description of my setup.

I have a host with two Tesla M60 graphical cards.
The installed OS is ESXi 6.0.
The graphical driver installed on the ESXi host (and the VM) is 369.95.
The virtual machine has been assigned the M60-1Q profile.
On the virtual machine Windows 7 is used as OS.
The VM is accessed through Citrix (VDA 7.14) is installed.

My problem is that Adobe Photoshop CC automatically selects the VMware driver instead of the Nvidia graphical card.
The solutions I’ve found online haven’t helped so far.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this? And if someone knows of a solution?

Thanks.

Hi

During the initial VM build, when installing VMTools, I never install the SVGA drivers. I then install the NVIDIA drivers, then the XenDesktop VDA. After that, I go to Device Manager and disable the basic display adapter so that the only adapter the system can use is the NVIDIA adapter.

Try that and see how you get on …

Regards

Hi Bjones,

Thanks for your reply.
I’ll install a new VM following your procedure and test this out.

I’ll let you know as soon as I know more.
