PMIC running at 100C in tegrastats - Is this hardware or software?

I’m seeing a consistent from startup temperature of 100C on the PMIC in tegrastats on a jetson nano. this is across both usb powered and plug powered on regulated power supplies. This is happening from startup, The nano is happily running for 8+ hours without thermal shutdown.

Obviously IF the PMIC were getting that hot that quick, 100C in <30 seconds, it’d have thermal run away and shut down.

My question is, is this a software quirk to enable power management via software frequency throttling or likely a bad temp sensor or something else entirely?
